Admission Process

Admissions to VJTI Mumbai are strictly merit-based and conducted through an online Centralised Admission Process (CAP) as per the guidelines of the Government of Maharashtra and DTE (Directorate of Technical Education). There is no Institute/Management Quota for any programme. **B.Tech:** Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 45–50% aggregate marks. A valid score in MHT-CET or JEE Main is required. Admission is through the DTE Maharashtra CAP online counselling portal (cetcell.mahacet.org). 85% of seats are reserved for Maharashtra state students and 15% for students from other states. **B.Tech Lateral Entry (Direct Second Year):** Candidates must have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering with at least 50% marks. Selection is based on MHT-CET LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Test) scores. **M.Tech:** A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and a valid GATE score is required.
