Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW) is the first women-only medical college in the state of Maharashtra, established under the aegis of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Inspired by India's first female doctor, Anandibai Joshi, the college aims to empower women in the field of medicine. It is located in the serene Lavale campus and is attached to the 900-bed Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre (SUHRC).
