Admission Process

Admissions to B.E./B.Tech programmes (4 years, full-time) are conducted through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counselling by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu. 65% of seats are allotted through the government single-window counselling process, while the remaining 35% are filled through the Management Quota. The SSN TNEA counselling code is 1315. Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). NRI/PIO/Foreign National candidates are also eligible. For lateral entry (B.E./B.Tech – 2nd year), candidates with a Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. degree can apply through TNEA lateral entry counselling. M.E./M.Tech admissions are based on GATE or TANCET scores. Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree or equivalent from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Preference is given to GATE top scorers. MBA admissions (60 seats) are conducted via two modes: Government Quota (based on TANCET merit) and Management Quota. Scores from CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, and MAT are also considered. The selection process includes a group discussion and personal interview. MCA admissions are based on TANCET scores. Ph.D. and M.S.
