About SREEPATHY INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY

Sreepathy Institute of Management and Technology (SIMAT), established in 2009, is a premier self-financing engineering institution located in the scenic and culturally rich village of Vavanoor, Palakkad. Managed by the Sreepathy Trust, the college was founded with a mission to bring high-quality technical education to the rural heartlands of Kerala. The 20-acre campus is meticulously designed to provide a serene and distraction-free environment for learning. SIMAT is approved by the AICTE and affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). The institution is well-regarded for its commitment to academic integrity and its focus on nurturing socially responsible engineers. The college offers undergraduate B.Tech programs in major disciplines including Computer Science, AI & Machine Learning, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering. SIMAT is particularly known for its modern laboratory facilities and its proactive approach to industry-aligned training. The campus features a dedicated Fab Lab and a highly active Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), which serves as a launchpad for student ideas and prototypes. The faculty consists of a blend of experienced professors and enthusiastic young educators who emphasize a student-centric learning model. A central highlight of the academic infrastructure is the library, which provides a vast array of digital and physical resources to facilitate research and self-study. Student life at SIMAT is vibrant, highlighted by the annual national-level festival 'SREESTA', which combines technical innovation with cultural expression. The college maintains strong professional ties through chapters of IEEE and CSI, offering students global exposure. The Training and Placement Cell works tirelessly to bridge the gap between rural talent and urban opportunities, consistently securing placements in top-tier multinational corporations like TCS, Infosys, and UST Global. With its strategic focus on affordable excellence, community engagement through NSS, and a forward-looking curriculum, Sreepathy Institute continues to empower the next generation of technical leaders in 2026.
