Managed by the Kasaragod Co-operative Educational Society Ltd., it holds the distinction of being the largest self-financing college in the co-operative sector within the district. The campus, aptly named 'EMS Akshara Gramam,' is situated on a beautiful hilltop in Munnad, offering a serene and unique academic atmosphere that fosters creativity and innovation among its students. Affiliated with Kannur University, the college initially began with just three degree courses and a handful of students but has since grown into a massive academic hub. Today, it offers 13 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate programs across diverse streams, including Science, Commerce, Management, Arts, and Social Work. Admission Process

Admission to all UG and PG courses is based on the Kannur University Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). 50% of seats are allotted through the university merit list, and the remaining 50% are reserved for management quota, for which students can apply directly to the college office.
