The University College of Engineering, Osmania University (UCE-OU), popularly known as UCEOU, is one of the oldest, most prestigious, and largest engineering institutions in India, situated within the sprawling 1,600-acre Osmania University campus in Amberpet, Hyderabad, Telangana. Established in 1929, eleven years after the founding of Osmania University itself, UCEOU holds the distinction of being the sixth engineering college to be established in the entire British India, making it a pioneering institution with nearly a century of academic excellence. The college was founded with a vision to produce technically skilled engineers who would serve the nation, and over the decades it has evolved into a comprehensive engineering institute offering programs across a wide spectrum of engineering disciplines. The college moved to its current permanent building in 1947 and was conferred autonomous status by Osmania University in 1994, enabling it to design its own curricula and academic programs while maintaining affiliation with Osmania University. Academically, UCEOU offers undergraduate BE programs in eight specializations including Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Mining Engineering. Admission Process

Admission to the BE program at UCE Osmania University is through the TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test). Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/reserved categories). Seat allotment is done through centralized web-based counseling by TSCHE based on TS EAMCET rank, category, and preferences. Lateral entry into the second year of BE is available through the TS ECET exam for diploma holders. For ME/M.Tech programs, admission is based on GATE scores or TS PGECET scores; GATE-qualified candidates are given preference. Candidates register on the PGECET counseling portal and attend certificate verification. Minimum eligibility for PG programs is BE/B.Tech with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
