Narasingh Choudhury Autonomous College, Jajpur, popularly known as N.C. Autonomous College, is one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in Odisha, established on June 18, 1946. Named after its primary benefactor, Ray Bahadur Choudhury Narasingha Charan Mohapatra, the college was founded to fulfill the long-cherished educational aspirations of the people of Jajpur. Over the decades, it has evolved from a small intermediate college into a full-fledged degree-granting institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs across Arts, Science, and Commerce. The college was granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in the 1999-2000 academic session and is currently affiliated with Utkal University.
