About NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR CEMENT AND BUILDING MATERIALS, Faridabad

National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB), formerly known as Cement Research Institute of India (CRI), is the premier body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Established in 1962, it is dedicated to technology development, transfer, continuing education, and industrial services for the cement and construction industries. NCB acts as a nodal agency for the government in policy formulation and planning for the growth of the cement sector, operating through specialized centers for research, mining, construction development, and quality management.

Admission Process

Admission to the PG Diploma is through a National Level Entrance Test followed by a Personal Interview. Preference is given to industry-sponsored candidates, but self-sponsored students are admitted based on merit. Applications usually open in May/June annually.

Cutoffs

Merit-based selection following the entrance exam; requires 60% or above in qualifying degree for general category.
