About MSME TECHNOLOGY CENTRE BADDI HIMACHAL PRADESH
MSME Technology Centre, Baddi (also known as the Tool Room and Training Centre) is a premier establishment under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India. It was established in 2018 as part of the Technology Centre Systems Programme (TCSP) with support from the World Bank. Sprawling across 19 acres in the foothills of the Shivalik range, the centre is strategically located in Baddi, Asia's largest pharmaceutical and industrial hub. The primary mission of the centre is to bridge the skill gap in the manufacturing sector by providing high-quality technical education and production support to local MSMEs. The institution offers a unique blend of formal academic programs and short-term vocational training. Its core strengths lie in advanced manufacturing technologies, including Tool & Die Making, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, and CNC programming. With an investment exceeding INR 102 Crores, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery that is often beyond the reach of individual small-scale units. This allows students to gain hands-on experience on the same equipment used in global manufacturing standards. The centre follows a 'Production-cum-Training' model, ensuring that learners are exposed to real-world industrial problems and precision manufacturing processes. Beyond academics, MSME TC Baddi serves as a consultancy and technical support hub for the industrial belt of Himachal Pradesh. It fosters entrepreneurship by providing incubation support and technical expertise to budding innovators. The environment is designed to promote rigorous discipline and technical excellence, preparing students for immediate employment in sectors like automotive, electronics, and precision engineering. Its affiliation with the Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board ensures that its diploma programs carry significant weightage in both government and private sector job markets.Admission Process
