Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (MNIT Jaipur), also widely known as NIT Jaipur, is one of India's most prestigious public technical universities. Established in 1963 as the Malaviya Regional Engineering College (MREC) Jaipur through a joint initiative of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan, it was elevated to the status of a National Institute of Technology on 26 June 2002 and subsequently declared an Institute of National Importance through an Act of Parliament on 15 August 2007. Admission Process

Admissions at MNIT Jaipur are conducted entirely through national-level entrance examinations and centralized counselling processes. For B.Tech programmes, candidates must have scored a minimum of 75% marks in Class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and must have a valid JEE Main score; seat allotment is done through JoSAA/CSAB Counselling. B.Arch admission requires JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch) with a minimum 50% in 10+2. M.Tech admissions are based on valid GATE scores followed by CCMT Counselling; candidates need a B.Tech/BE with a minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD). MBA admissions are based on CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT scores followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview; graduates with a minimum 60% are eligible.
