Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, established in 1976, is a premier State Public University in Haryana. Originally founded as Rohtak University, it was renamed in 1977 after the social reformer Maharshi Dayanand. It has 38 teaching departments and is accredited with an 'A+' grade by NAAC.
