About LBS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Engineering (LBSCE), Kasaragod, was established in 1993 and has grown into one of the premier technical institutions in Kerala. It is a government-controlled self-financing institution under the LBS Centre for Science and Technology, an autonomous body established by the Government of Kerala. Sprawling over a 52-acre campus in Povval, the college offers a serene atmosphere conducive to academic excellence. It is affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institution has been a pioneer in delivering high-quality engineering education in the northernmost district of Kerala, bridging the gap between rural students and technical expertise. LBSCE is known for its rigorous academic curriculum, state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, and a central library that houses a vast collection of technical literature. The college emphasizes holistic development, encouraging students to participate in national-level technical symposiums, sports, and cultural activities. Over the decades, it has produced thousands of engineers who are now placed in top-tier global companies and government organizations. The faculty consists of highly qualified professionals, many of whom hold doctoral degrees and are actively involved in research and development projects. With a strong focus on innovation, the college hosts various workshops and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) to stay updated with the latest industry trends like Artificial Intelligence, VLSI, and Sustainable Engineering. The commitment of LBSCE toward excellence is reflected in its consistent performance in university examinations and its active Career Guidance and Placement Unit (CGPU).
