Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad — popularly known as YMCA University — is a prestigious State Government University located in Faridabad, Haryana, just 30 km from New Delhi on National Highway 2 (Delhi–Agra Highway). The university was originally founded in 1969 as 'YMCA Institute of Engineering' as a pioneering Indo-German joint venture involving the National Council of YMCAs of India, the Government of Haryana, and the Central Agencies for Development Aid (CADA), Bonn, Germany. It was one of the first technical institutions in India established on a German pattern of technical education, beginning with Diploma programmes and an initial intake of 120 students on a 20-acre residential campus provided by the Haryana Government. Over the decades, the institution steadily evolved and was upgraded to a university status in 2009 under the Haryana Government Gazette Notification No. 29 of 2009, and renamed 'YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad'. In 2018, it was further renamed to its current designation — J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA — in honour of the eminent Indian scientist Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose, through the YMCA University of Science and Technology Faridabad (Amendment) Act, 2018. Today, J.C. Bose University holds NAAC 'A+' accreditation with a CGPA of 3.32, is approved by AICTE, recognized by UGC, and is a member of both the Quality Council of India (QCI) and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Admission Process

Admissions to J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad are conducted through both merit-based and entrance exam-based routes depending on the programme.
