Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (JGEC), officially known as Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (Autonomous), is one of India's premier public engineering institutions located in Danguajhar, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. Established on 7 August 1961 by the Government of West Bengal, JGEC holds the proud distinction of being the second-oldest engineering college in the state, originally known as Jalpaiguri Engineering College until 1963. The college is an autonomous institution affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal.
