Admission Process

Admission to IIM Ahmedabad's MBA (PGP) programme is a two-step process. Step 1: Candidates must appear for CAT (Common Admission Test) and meet sectional and overall percentile cutoffs (General/EWS: 70 sectional, 80 overall; NC-OBC: 75 overall; SC: 70 overall; ST: 60 overall). Shortlisted candidates are evaluated on Application Rating (AR) based on academic performance (Class 10, Class 12, Graduation) and work experience. Step 2: Shortlisted candidates appear for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) held at designated centres across India. Final admission offers are based on a Composite Score combining CAT percentile, AR, AWT, and PI. PGPX admissions require GMAT/GRE scores along with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification work experience. FPM (PhD) admissions accept CAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE, or UGC-NET JRF scores followed by a research proposal and interview.
