About Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS)

The Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) was established in 1993 following a Supreme Court directive to transform the former Hospital for Mental Diseases into a center of excellence. It is now India's premier autonomous institution for mental health, neurosciences, and behavioral sciences. The institute provides integrated clinical care, teaching, and research, serving a massive population through its 300-bed facility and numerous specialty clinics.

Admission Process

MD admissions are via NEET-PG; DM admissions via NEET-SS. M.Phil and M.Sc. Nursing admissions involve an institutional entrance test followed by document verification and interviews (for M.Phil). All counselling is centralized through MCC/Delhi University for medical courses.
