Admission Process

B.Tech: Candidates must qualify JEE Main and then JEE Advanced. Seat allotment is via JoSAA Counselling based on JEE Advanced rank and category. The JEE Advanced 2026 exam was conducted on May 17, 2026. M.Tech: Admission is through valid GATE scores via the COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal), followed by a Personal Interview (PI). Non-GATE candidates must appear for an institute-level written test followed by PI. IITians with CGPA/CPI of 8.0+ are eligible without GATE. Minimum qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc or equivalent with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST). M.Sc: Admission through IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc) scores followed by JAM counselling. M.A (Society and Culture): Based on written test and personal interview conducted by the institute. Ph.D: Based on GATE/NET score or institute-level written test, followed by an interview. Available for July and January intake cycles. Fellowship: ₹37,000/month (may increase to ₹42,000/month after 2 years subject to satisfactory progress).
