Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (popularly known as IIM Trichy or IIMT) is a premier public business school and an Institute of National Importance, established on January 4, 2011 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Admission Process

Admission to IIM Tiruchirappalli's flagship PGPM and PGPM-HR programmes is through a valid CAT (Common Admission Test) score. From 2026, IIM Trichy participates in the Joint Admission Process (JAP) along with IIM Raipur, IIM Kashipur, and IIM Ranchi. Candidates must register for CAT at iimcat.ac.in and select IIM Trichy as a preference. Shortlisted candidates (General Category: ~94th percentile overall) are called for a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection is based on CAT score, WAT-PI performance, academic record, work experience, and gender diversity.
