Indian Institute of Information Technology Pune (IIIT Pune), officially known as the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune, is a premier Institute of National Importance (INI) established in 2016 by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. It operates on a Not-for-Profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) model with the Government of Maharashtra and industry partners including Rolta India Ltd. and HUBTOWN Ltd., with a total initial outlay of ₹128 crores (50% Central Government, 35% State Government, 15% Industry Partners). In August 2017, IIIT Pune was officially declared an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament, placing it among India's most prestigious technical institutions. Admission Process

B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks. Admission is based on JEE Main score followed by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) or CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling. International students may apply through DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad). M.Tech: Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Admission is based on GATE score followed by CCMT (Centralised Counselling for M.Tech) counselling. Candidates without GATE scores may appear in an institute-level written test and interview for consideration. Ph.D: Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree (M.Tech/ME/M.Sc or equivalent) in a relevant field with a minimum of 60% marks.
