Government Polytechnic Paonta Sahib, established in 2013, is a premier technical institution located in the scenic and industrially vibrant region of Dhaula Kuan, District Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. Initially operating from its mentor institute, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Govt. Polytechnic Ambota, it transitioned to its own sprawling 11.66-acre permanent campus in July 2015. The institution is dedicated to providing high-quality technical education and vocational training to the youth of Himachal Pradesh, specifically catering to the industrial needs of the Paonta Sahib and Kala Amb belts. The polytechnic is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated with the Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board (HPTSB), Dharamshala. It currently offers four core diploma programs: Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Automobile Engineering, each with an intake capacity of 60 students.
