Government Polytechnic College, Dholpur (GPCD) was established in 2010 by the Government of Rajasthan with a vision to provide quality technical education to the youth of the Dholpur region. Initially operating from the Sawai Madhopur campus, the institute moved to its dedicated, sprawling campus in Purani Chhawni, Dholpur, in 2014. The college is fully funded by the Ministry of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is affiliated with the Board of Technical Education Rajasthan (BTER), Jodhpur. The institution offers three-year diploma programs in core engineering branches including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering.
