Government Polytechnic College, Dholpur (GPCD) was established in 2010 by the Government of Rajasthan with a vision to provide quality technical education to the youth of the Dholpur region. Initially operating from the Sawai Madhopur campus, the institute moved to its dedicated, sprawling campus in Purani Chhawni, Dholpur, in 2014. The college is fully funded by the Ministry of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is affiliated with the Board of Technical Education Rajasthan (BTER), Jodhpur. The institution offers three-year diploma programs in core engineering branches including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering. Admission Process

Admissions are conducted through the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Rajasthan. Candidates must have passed the 10th standard with Science and Maths. Admission is based on the merit of the qualifying exam (10th marks). Lateral entry to the 2nd year is available for ITI holders or 12th (PCM) students.

Cutoffs

Generally 60% for General and 55% for Reserved categories in 10th Board exams.
