Government Polytechnic Sedem (GPST), located in the Tuensang district of Nagaland, was established on April 11, 2018, under the Sub-Mission on Polytechnics scheme of the Government of India. The institution operates with the motto 'Strive to Achieve' and is spread over a sprawling 30-acre campus situated approximately 11 km from Tuensang Town. It is a premier state-run technical institute dedicated to providing high-quality vocational and engineering education to the youth of Eastern Nagaland, a region that has historically faced geographical challenges in accessing technical training. The college is fully approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated with the State Council of Technical Education (SCTE), Nagaland. Currently, the institute specializes in a three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering, designed to meet the growing infrastructure demands of the North-Eastern region. Admission Process

Admission is based on the Diploma Entrance Examination (DEE) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland. Candidates must have passed HSLC (10th) with Science and Maths. 90% of seats are reserved for Indigenous ST of Nagaland.

Cutoffs

Merit-based selection following DEE Nagaland scores; 45% aggregate in 10th for general and 40% for reserved categories.
