Government Engineering College, Idukki (GECI), established in 2000, is a premier technical institution located in the high-range district of Idukki, Kerala. Managed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Kerala, the college was founded to cater to the technical education needs of students in one of the most geographically challenging yet beautiful parts of the state. The 25-acre campus is situated at Kuyilimala, Painavu, which serves as the administrative headquarters of the district. The institution is approved by the AICTE and affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).
