About COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING TRIKARIPUR
The College of Engineering Trikaripur (CET), established in 2000, is a premier technical institution located in the Kasaragod district of Kerala. It is one of the most prominent engineering colleges established by the Government of Kerala under the management of the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD). Situated in the scenic village of Cheeni near Trikaripur, the college was founded to provide advanced technical education to students in the North Malabar region. Over the last two decades, CET has evolved into a center of academic excellence, consistently maintaining high standards in engineering pedagogy. The institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). Notably, the college was selected for the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) Phase II, which significantly enhanced its research and laboratory capabilities. CET offers five undergraduate B.Tech programs, including the highly popular Computer Science & Engineering and a specialized new track in AI & Machine Learning. The academic infrastructure is state-of-the-art, featuring high-speed campus-wide Wi-Fi, a centralized computing facility, and specialized labs for each department. The college is recognized for its strong faculty base, consisting of many permanent government appointees with extensive research and teaching experience. The digital library at CET is a major asset, providing students with remote access to global technical journals and repositories. The institution also emphasizes entrepreneurship through its highly active IEDC, which supports student-led startups and innovation projects. Student life at College of Engineering Trikaripur is vibrant and inclusive, marked by a balance of academic rigor and extracurricular engagement. The college hosts 'AGNEYA', a prestigious national-level technical and cultural festival that serves as a platform for students to showcase their diverse talents. The Training and Placement Cell is exceptionally proactive, successfully placing students in global tech giants such as Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. With its strategic location—well-connected by the Trikaripur railway station and the nearby Kannur International Airport—and its commitment to social responsibility and technical integrity, CE Trikaripur continues to be a top choice for engineering aspirants in 2026.Admission Process
Admission to the B.Tech programs is based on the rank obtained in the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance exam. 50% of the seats are merit-based allotments via the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), and the remaining 50% are management seats filled by IHRD based on academic merit and entrance performance.Cutoffs
