About COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING MUTTATHARA
College of Engineering Muttathara (CEM) is a prestigious technical institution established in 2016 under the aegis of the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE), an autonomous society promoted by the Department of Co-operation, Government of Kerala. As the ninth engineering college under CAPE, CEM was envisioned to provide high-quality technical education to students in the capital district of Thiruvananthapuram. The college is strategically located near the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport and just 4 kilometers from the Central Railway Station, making it highly accessible for day scholars and commuters. The institution is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and all its undergraduate programs are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). CEM offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degrees in five core disciplines: Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Each program maintains a standard intake of 60 students per year, ensuring a focused learning environment. CEM is characterized by its strong academic rigor and a faculty body comprised of experienced professionals dedicated to student mentorship. The campus is equipped with modern infrastructure, including state-of-the-art laboratories, a 100 Mbps high-speed Wi-Fi network, and a comprehensive central library. Beyond academics, the college fosters innovation through its active Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) and promotes social responsibility through various National Service Scheme (NSS) initiatives. Despite being a relatively young institution, CEM has quickly established a reputation for excellence in technical training and community engagement within the Kerala engineering education landscape.Admission Process
Admission to the B.Tech programs is strictly based on the rank list of the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance exam. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology. 50% of seats are merit seats filled by CEE Kerala, 35% are management seats, and 15% are reserved for NRI candidates.Cutoffs
