The college was founded on a generous 6.4-acre land donation by the philanthropist Late Shree Choudhry Maloo Ram Bhambhu (C.M.R.B.), after whom the institution is named. It functions under the administrative control of the Department of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college is affiliated with the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan (BTER), Jodhpur. Over the past three decades, the institution has played a pivotal role in providing affordable and high-quality technical education to the youth of the border district of Sriganganagar and neighboring areas.
