About CH. CHARAN SINGH NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL MARKETING, Rajasthan
Chaudhary Charan Singh National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (CCS NIAM) is a premier national-level institute established by the Government of India in August 1988. Operating as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the institute was created to cater to the specialized needs of agricultural marketing professionals. Spread across a sprawling 32-acre lush green campus in Jaipur, Rajasthan, CCS NIAM has carved a niche for itself as a global leader in agricultural marketing education, research, and consultancy. The institute's primary mandate is to improve the efficiency of the agricultural marketing system and enhance the income of primary producers, particularly small and marginal farmers, by nurturing innovative agri-preneurs. The academic core of CCS NIAM revolves around its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agribusiness Management), which is AICTE approved and consistently ranks among the top agribusiness programs in India. The curriculum is meticulously designed to bridge the gap between traditional agricultural practices and modern management techniques, incorporating case studies, live projects, and extensive industry interactions. Beyond education, CCS NIAM plays a pivotal role in policy support for the Government of India and various state governments. It serves as a hub for training senior and middle-level officers from state marketing boards, cooperatives, and agribusiness industries. With a 100% placement record and a strong alumni network across the globe, the institute continues to produce leaders who drive innovation in agri-input, food processing, and rural development sectors. Its state-of-the-art infrastructure, including specialized research labs and a rich library, provides an ideal environment for intellectual growth and professional excellence.Admission Process
Admission to the PGDM programs is conducted through a multi-stage selection process. Candidates must first appear for the CAT or CMAT entrance examination. Shortlisted candidates are invited for the Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Group Discussion (GD). This is followed by a Personal Interview (PI) and an Extempore round to evaluate spontaneous thinking. The final selection is based on a weighted average of the entrance score, academic performance (10th, 12th, and Graduation), work experience, and performance in the GD/PI rounds.Cutoffs
