About CENTRAL TRIBAL UNIVERSITY OF ANDHRA PRADESH AP

The Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh (CTUAP) was established in 2019 following the Central Universities (Amendment) Act. Located in the Vizianagaram district, it was founded to fulfill the long-cherished dream of providing higher education opportunities specifically tailored to the tribal populations of Andhra Pradesh, though it remains open to all. As a Central University, it is fully funded by the Government of India through the UGC. The institution currently operates from a transit campus at the AU PG Centre in Kondakarakam while a state-of-the-art permanent campus is being developed across 500+ acres in the Mentada and Dattirajeru mandals. The university offers a diverse range of programs including specialized courses in Artificial Intelligence, Tribal Studies, and Tourism Management. Its mission is to blend traditional tribal knowledge with modern scientific and management education, fostering an environment of research and social inclusion. With its low fee structure and high-quality faculty, CTUAP is rapidly becoming a significant educational hub in South India.

Admission Process

Admission to all Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs is strictly conducted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must register on the NTA portal, appear for the exam, and subsequently participate in the university's counseling process based on their merit scores. For PhD programs, the university conducts its own entrance test or accepts UGC-NET/JRF qualified candidates.

Cutoffs

CUET UG cut-offs vary by course; for B.Sc. AI, it typically ranges between 5 to 377 marks depending on the category.
