CIPET : Centre for Skilling and Technical Support (CSTS) - Agartala was established in the year 2017 as a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Tripura. It is a premier academic institution under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. The center was established to cater to the growing demand for skilled manpower in the plastics and petrochemical industries within the North Eastern region of India. CIPET Agartala is spread over a sprawling campus in the Rubber Park area of Bhudjungnagar, providing a serene environment for technical education. The institute focuses on a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience. The infrastructure includes state-of-the-art Plastic Processing labs, a comprehensive Tool Room for mould making, and advanced Testing laboratories that comply with international standards. One of the core strengths of CIPET Agartala is its Technical Support Services (TSS), where it provides consultancy to local plastic industries, helping in quality control and product development. The academic programs offered, such as Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT) and Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT), are highly specialized and recognized globally. Admission Process

Admission is primarily through the CIPET Admission Test (CAT), an all-India entrance exam. Eligibility for Diploma courses is 10th pass. For Post Diploma, a Diploma in Mechanical/Plastics is required. Applications are invited online via the cipet.gov.in portal.
