Admission to CIEM is primarily entrance-based. For B.Tech, candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), and must have a valid WBJEE or JEE Main rank. Lateral entry to B.Tech (3-year) is through JELET. For MBA, candidates must hold a graduation degree with minimum 50% marks and must have valid scores in CAT, CMAT, MAT, or JEMAT (WBJEMAT), followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). For BBA and BCA, admission is merit-based on 10+2 scores (minimum 60% in Class X and XII). For MCA, WB JECA or equivalent scores are required.
