About BITS School of Management, Rajasthan

The Department of Management at BITS Pilani (popularly referred to as DMS BITS Pilani or BITS School of Management, Rajasthan) is one of India's most respected management institutions, operating under the aegis of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani) – a premier private deemed university and one of India's six Institutions of Eminence declared by the Ministry of Education, Government of India in 2020. In 2006, this was restructured back to the MBA format. Responding to evolving industry needs and digital transformation, BITS Pilani introduced the flagship MBA in Business Analytics in 2021–22, making it one of the earliest premier institutions in India to offer a dedicated analytics-focused MBA. Located in the serene, fully residential campus of BITS Pilani at Vidya Vihar, Pilani, Rajasthan (Jhunjhunu District), the campus spans 328 acres of green, self-contained land. The program is divided into three semesters of rigorous on-campus training followed by one semester of industry exposure through the Practice School – a structured, evaluative, paid internship model that BITS Pilani is globally known for. Students gain real corporate experience before graduation, a distinctive feature rarely found in other B-schools. The intake for the MBA program is approximately 60 students per batch, ensuring a closely-knit cohort with high peer learning quality. Admission is primarily through BAAT (Business Analytics Aptitude Test) conducted by BITS Pilani, along with valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores followed by a Personal Interview. The median CAT percentile of admitted students is around 94. Placement outcomes have been consistently strong.
