Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, commonly known as BITS Hyderabad or BPHC, is a premier technical and science institute of higher learning in India. Established in 2008 as the youngest campus of the BITS Pilani Group, it is situated on a sprawling 200-acre green campus at Jawahar Nagar, Kapra Mandal, Medchal Malkajgiri District, Hyderabad, Telangana — 500078. The first batch of students graduated from this campus in 2012, and since then it has grown into one of the most sought-after engineering and science institutions in the country. BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus is a Deemed-to-be-University established under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The institution is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' Grade, recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). In 2020, BITS Pilani (across all campuses) was recognized as an Institution of Eminence (IoE) by the Ministry of Education, Government of India — one of the first six institutes in India to receive this prestigious designation. Academically, BITS Hyderabad follows the same rigorous, flexible, and innovative curriculum as the parent BITS Pilani campus. The flagship program is the four-year B.E. A standout feature of the BITS educational system is the unique Dual Degree Scheme, which allows students to simultaneously pursue two degrees — one engineering (B.E.) and one science (M.Sc.) — in 5 to 5.5 years. Admission Process

Admission to B.E., B.Pharm, and M.Sc. (Integrated First Degree) programs at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus is based on the BITSAT (BITS Admission Test), a computer-based online entrance examination conducted by BITS Pilani annually. Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Biology) as compulsory subjects, securing a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in PCM/PCB and not less than 60% in each subject. Students who are the toppers of their respective state or central boards (rank 1) are eligible for direct admission without BITSAT. For M.E. and M.Pharm (Higher Degree) programs, admission is based on BITS HD (Higher Degree Online Test) conducted by BITS Pilani, or valid GATE/GPAT scores, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate.
