Established in 2001 by the Bhartiy Samaj Vikas & Sanshodhan Sanstha (IISDR), Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi Mahavidyalaya is a premier rural educational institution. Spread over 26 acres on the banks of the Bhima River, the college focuses on providing quality higher education to students from drought-prone areas who cannot afford to migrate to cities.

Admissions are based on the merit of the 10+2 (HSC) examination. Candidates must submit their 10th and 12th mark sheets, school leaving certificate, and caste certificate (if applicable) to the college admission office.
