Government College Barsar, situated in the picturesque surroundings of the Solhasinghi Dhar in the lower Shivalik Himalayas, was established in 2007 under the Department of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh. Since its inception, the institution has been a beacon of higher education for rural youth in the Barsar region of District Hamirpur. Affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f), the college is committed to providing quality education that is accessible and affordable. The college campus, spanning 8.12 acres, is located at Baroli, just 1 km from Barsar. It offers a comprehensive range of academic programs across Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams at the undergraduate level.
